2016/08/29［Release of the Resourse］
MEXT recently released the meeting materials of 8th Strategic Basic Reseach Committee (held on Friday, July 15th).
They introduced the research achievement of associate professor Yasushi Takahashi, the former NanoSquare
tenure-track lecturer, as one of the two most successful innovations that have a deep impact in Japan.
In the reference, it says that it used to be almost impossible even for the big enterprises to develop practical silicon-based laser. However, Dr. Takahashi achieved significant results of developing Raman silicon laser with variable wavelength by using a photonic-crystal technique.
